Yes, it is possible to cancel a pending leave request if it has not yet been approved by the next person in the approval chain. In order to cancel your pending leave request, click on “More” in the "Employee leave" dashlet and click on the “X” next to the pending leave request.
Please note that it is only possible to delete leave requests which have not yet been approved and are already marked in green.
